Chin Liew Studio collaborates with clients, architects, landscapers and builders to create bespoke outdoor spaces.
DESIGN PROCESS
DESIGN CONSULTATION
The design process begins with a meeting to discuss your dream garden and your hopes for your space.
This consultation allows us to find out about you and your lifestyle, while enabling us to understand the existing site conditions and site potential.
Following this initial consultation, a Landscape Design & Fee proposal will be prepared. This document includes the design brief and scope, along with the design fees.
A fee is charged for the design consultation.
CONCEPT DESIGN
The approved brief will inform the concept design. You will receive plans and views showing the proposed layout of the site, hardscape materials and planting palette.
An inspiration board may be provided to support the landscape design vision.
Your proposed design will then be discussed at a concept presentation meeting, for your approval.
DESIGN DEVELOPMENT + DOCUMENTATION
The Design Development package includes details and specifications from which you can obtain a construction quote.
This package generally includes surface details with dimensions and levels, a planting plan, lighting plan, irrigation and drainage plans. It will include selected elevations and construction drawings where required.
TOWN PLANNING
We can prepare and submit plans and documentation for any permits required.
CONSTRUCTION SERVICES
TENDERING SERVICE
Chin Liew Studio can recommend experienced landscape contractors to quote on your project if required. We can review your quotes to ensure they are comparable and can provide advice to set the budget and timeframe for a high quality installation.
PLANT PLACEMENT
There are situations where the site does not allow the planting plan to be followed exactly as shown on the planting plan. We can come on site to place all plants as per the design plans, for either the landscape contractor or the client to plant them. This allows the design intent to be followed as design decisions and alterations can be made on site if required.
PROCUREMENT - PLANTS + POTS + FURNITURE
With relationships in the landscape industry, we can source high quality plants from growers or pots, planters and beautiful furniture from leading suppliers.
